You don’t have to be a pro chef to pack lunch like one.
If you’re looking for ways to save money while eating healthy, then making your bento boxes might be the answer. These lunch boxes are perfect for packing lunches because they allow you to fill a variety of foods into one container. They also keep food fresh longer, which means fewer trips to the grocery store.
Bento boxes are an excellent way to eat healthier because they give you the option to choose different foods. For example, if you want to eat vegetables, you can pack them with other fruits and protein sources. If you’re going to eat meat, you can add it to your box.
1. Choose what you will put in your lunch box.
2. Create a list of all the things that you need to buy.
3. Go shopping and purchase everything that is on your list.
4. Put all the items in your bento box.
5. Enjoy!
Here’s how to make your bento boxes:
Step 1 – Choose What You Will Put In Your Lunchbox
The first step to creating your bento boxes is choosing what you want to put inside.
Start by deciding whether you would like to make a vegetarian or non-vegetarian bento box.
Vegetarians do not eat animal products such as meat, fish, poultry, dairy, eggs, etc. Non-vegetarians eat some animal products.
Vegetarian bento boxes are usually packed with rice, beans, veggies, fruit, nuts, crackers, bread, meats, cheese, yogurt, etc.
Non-vegetarian bento boxes contain more than just vegetables and grains. Some examples include pasta, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, chicken, tuna, egg salad, etc.
This was mainly due to me being sick a lot and having trouble digesting certain foods. Nowadays, I try to stick to a vegetarian diet.
Start with a vegetarian bento box so that you get used to eating only vegetables. Once you get comfortable with this type of meal, you can start adding meat to your bento boxes.
Step 2 – Create a List of All the Things That You Need To Buy
Once you know what you want to put in your bento box, create a list of all you need to buy.
This includes: Rice, Beans (black, white, red, kidney, soy• Nuts, Bread, Cheese (cheddar, mozzarella), Yogurt, Pasta, Pizza, Sandwiches, Chicken, Tuna, Egg Salad, Peanut Butter, Fruit, Veggies, Crackers, Cereals, Salads, Dressings, Condiments, Seasonings, Spices, Oils, Vinegar, Sugar, Salt, Pepper, Coffee/Tea, Water, Milk, Soda, Juice, Wine, Ice Cream, Cookies, Candy, Chocolate, Other.
You may find yourself needing to go to multiple stores to buy these items. It is best to shop at places where you already frequent. This saves time and gas money.
Step 3 – Go Shopping And Purchase Everything That Is On Your List
Make sure that you buy enough of each item on your list. The amount of each item depends on how much space you have available in your bento box.
For example, if you have a small bento box, you don’t need to buy too many cups of rice. However, if you have a giant bento box, you should buy more cups of rice.
Also, remember to buy condiments, dressings, seasonings, oils, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, water, milk, soda, juice, wine, ice cream, cookies, candy, chocolate, others. These items will help add flavor to your food.
If you are using a plastic container for your bento box, be careful not to overfill it. If there isn’t enough room for all the ingredients, you won’t be able to pack them into your bento box.
Step 4 – Put All the Items Into Your Bento Box
After you have purchased all the items that you need, place them inside your bento box.
It’s essential to keep your bento box clean. Use paper towels to wipe down the inside of your bento box before putting anything else inside it. Also, wash your hands after handling raw meat, fruits, vegetables, and other foods.
Step 5 – Add Any Extra Ingredients
Add extra ingredients to your bento box if you think they will improve the taste of your lunch. For example, if you are making a sandwich, you could add lettuce or tomato slices.
Step 6 – Enjoy!
Enjoy your bento box! Try different combinations of foods until you find something that you like.
Remember to eat slowly. Chew thoroughly and enjoy every bite.
Good luck!
